In the time I've been here, I have:
Played Songkran and consequently managed to control, if not quite overcome, my worst fears. Regained contact with somebody who I never thought I would speak to again- somebody I never dared hope was even still alive. I've ridden on motorcycle taxis, tuktuks, buses, and the B2S(monorail system). I've been cheated by tuktuk drivers. I've seen one of the princesses from the Thai royal family at MBK. I've had a very embarrassing skirmish with the Thai police and ended up having to forfeit about 200 baht. I've perma-straightened my hair. I've fought for floor space with ants, and the ants are gaining the upper hand. I've gone to Dreamworld with Aom, and I made friends with the Lizmeister. Liz and I went to the Endorphine concert, where we were at one point no more than two feet away from the famously powerful-voiced Thai singer. The day after said concert, we were in Siam Square listening to a street band, started dancing, and likely became the subjects of countless Youtube videos. I've charmed my way past a bouncer into a nightclub. I've bought a university uniform. I've watched a ton of movies. I accidentally stained my lovely white dress the colour of weak tea because I mistakenly put it in the wash with a green dress- oops. I've met with Ball, Bank, Pex, Aek, Ranee, Sitt, Aom, Gao, Wate, Jay, and countless other farangs in my daily search for adventure. I've walked down the street flushing with insane embarrassment because guys who think they're being clever and sneaky aren't being exactly polite in talking to each other as I pass.
To be continued.
