augh, Philosophy 205, you are going to do my head in.

What is reality?
I think it's something considerably more than what I see and hear and do right here, right now, at this very point in time.  I don't think it's the future, exactly.  The concept of the future is real, but the happenings of it are not for the simple reason that they just haven't happened yet.
But that (to me, at least) does not automatically make the past any more real than the future.  Events have happened and have therefore existed, thereby being real, but now the only way they exist is in memory.
Memory which, come to think of it, is really a sort of reverse future.  A sort of waking dream.
Makes me feel that reality is all the certainties and uncertainties of life, and that you can't have a lack of one or an excess of the other.  We can define reality only so far before our verbal abilities for description start to fog and falter.  It is what it is, and maybe also what it it isn't.  The possible and the impossible.  The believeable, the insane.  Full of questions.

Wow, does philosophy ever make me feel like I've been whacked with a hammer.
